The Waverley Typewriter

Wanted: The Waverly Typewriter

The Waverley Type Writer was invented and patented ca.1899 by Edward Smith Higgins and Henry Charles Jenkins. It was produced by The Waverley Typewriter Company of London, England. It was one of just four brands that was designed with a rear-downstrike typebar arrangement with the Brooks, Fitch & North's having been the other three. The typebar arrangement was not successful for any of the brands, the Waverley not withstanding.
