The Kosmopolit was the second typewriter to be produced by the Guhl & Harbeck Company of Hamburg, Germany. This Typen Schreibmaschine (typewriter) was patented in 1887 and marketed in 1888. It's a index writing machine so no keyboard. Some of these were rebranded for the English market as the Cosmopolitan. The predecessor to the Kosmopolit was the Hammonia.
