Wanted: Columbia Typewriter
When speaking of legendary inventors of typewriters, like those responsible for the S & G, Blickensderfer or Wagner, one must also mention Charles Spiro. Not only did Spiro develop the Columbia Typewriter on this page, but he later developed the Bar-Lock, Columbia Music Typewriter and assisted with the development of the Gourland. The Columbia Typewriter, of which there were three different models made (two are represented on this page), was first produced in 1885 by the Columbia Typewriter Company of New York.
