The Cahill typewriter, also known as the Cahill Universal Electric No.2, is one of the earliest electric typewriters to have been invented and is the earliest to have be produced in any real quantity ( the Cahill was produced earlier than the Blickensderfer Electric by just one year). Though it's not as sexy or sought after as the Blick Electric, it is still a really lovely machine. The Cahill was produced by the Cahill Writing Machine Manufacturing Company which was later changed to the Cahill Electric Typewriter Company and then to just the Cahill Typewriter Company.
