Blickensderfer Electric Typewriter

I'm going to sound like a broken record but, yet again, this is another typewriter that was manufactured right here in Connecticut. Stamford, to be exact. The Blick Electric was just the second commercially produced electric typewriter ever. It was patented in 1900 and available shortly thereafter, thought, truly, the Blickensderfer Electric was about 50 years ahead of its time. There were two version made -- one with a rounded frame and another with a squared frame. A known name variant of the Blick Electric is la machines à écrire Dactyle Electrique (Dactyle Electric Typewriter). It was rebranded as such for a distributor in Paris, France.
