I'm going to sound like a broken record but, yet again, here is another typewriter that was manufactured right here in Connecticut. Stamford, to be exact. The Blickensderfer Electric was just the second commercially produced electric typewriter ever. It was patented in 1900 and available the next year, thought, truly, the Blick Electric was about 50 years ahead of its time. There were two version made -- one with a rounded frame and another with a squared frame. A known name variant of the Blick Electric was la machine à écrire Dactyle Electrique (Dactyle Electric Typewriter) which was rebranded as such for a distributor in Paris, France.
