The Wellington typewriter was invented by Wellington Parker Kidder, ca.1892. It was produced by the Williams Manufacturing Company of Plattsburgh, New York. This typewriter had a then-innovative, thrust-action typebar arrangement. The No.1 model, like the one see here, had square keys instead of round ones like its successor.
