The Victor was an index typewriter that was marketed by the Victor Type Writer Company though its actual production was tasked to the Tilton Manufacturing Company of Boston, Massachusetts. It was invented by Arthur I. Jacobs who patented it in 1889. The Victor is credited as being the first daisy wheel typewriter ever produced, an innovation that was utilized in typewriter design well into the 1980's on some electric models.
