The Victor was an index typewriter made in Boston, Massachusetts and was invented by Arthur I. Jacobs. Its beautiful gold embellishments were influenced by the Art Nouveau movement of the time. The Victor is credited as being the first daisy wheel typewriter, ca.1890. Daisy wheels would be applied to typewriters well into the 1980s on some electric models.
