Talking

Machine

This nameless gramophone was sold by the United States Talking Machine Company of Chicago, Illinois, ca.1897, for just $3 - $3.50. It was produced at a factory in Muskegon, Michigan. It featured a mechanical, hand-driven turntable and rubber listening tubes. Overall, this was a very primitive device. Later examples are labeled with the Seaman's National Gramophone Company's name.
