Wanted:
The Moore
Typewriter
This toy typewriter was marketed by the George W. Moore Company, ca.1933. The company sold it and other novelty products from a factory-warehouse at 44 Farmsworth Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The Moore typewriter cost just 30 cents. Old ads read, "3 dimes will buy this... typewriter." Ultimately it was a very small, 7" by 5" toy that was never meant for any serious typing. One ad referred to it as "An aid to correct spelling."
