Wanted: The Eagle Typewriter
The Eagle Typewriter was a small index writing machine that shipped flat in a cardboard box along with its wood base. This was the only typewriter ever produced that the buyer would've had to assemble upon receipt. And though it appears to have been a stripped-down version of the already stripped-down Dollar, the two weren't actually related. The Eagle typewriter's manufacturers touted it as "The Lowest Priced and Best Machine in the World," which was an obvious exaggeration.
