Wanted: Rem-Sho Typewriter
Franklin Remington and Zalmon G. Sholes were a pair of fortunate sons benefiting from pedigree. The Remington & Sholes names were synonymous with the typewriter industry itself so when Franklin and Zalmon started the Remington-Sholes Co. of Chicago, Il, it seemed an obvious venture. Unfortunately for them, the original Remington Typewriter Co. thought otherwise, sued and forced Rem-Sho to change its name to Fay-Sho (Remington-Sholes, Rem-Sholes, Rem-Sho, Fay-Sholes and Fay-Sho were ultimately all the same company). I'm most interested in the bronze clad model like the one on this page.
