ca.1910 SMALLEST TYPEWRITER Bennett Portable Typewriter & Extras Harrisburg PA

★ I have other typewriters ★ Please take a look ★

Bennett typewriter with case & repro manuals, serial numbered 31,519, made in Harrisburg, PA ca.1910.

"SMALLEST EVER PRODUCTION TYPEWRITER WITH A KEYBOARD"

Very Good cosmetic condition! This is a VERY COMPLETE example. It has retained both thumb screws, case, all the hairsprings and ribbon spools (most Bennetts are missing some of these). The nickel plating and decals are strong and, despite the obvious cosmetic flaws, are better than on most known examples. No dust and no rust. Basically, cosmetically, it needs minimal attention or display it just the way it is.

Functionally, the carriage advances and returns well. The typewheel spins, advances and returns as it should. Please note that the shift mechanism does not work.

Barr's are generally very scarce and even scarcer in such a stunning color. Even scarcer yet to find one with such near-perfect paint. Overall, the machine needs attention mechanically but is displays stunningly.

An original, functional cover is included.

The instruction manual and trade catalog are high quality reproductions.
