Yost No.10 typewriter serial numbered 68,305. Produced for just 2 years starting in 1905 in Bridgeport, CT. Despite having been produced in the US, No.10s seldom ever become available for sale stateside.

CONDITION! CONDITION! CONDITION! This is, easily one of the best No.10s in the world. Go ahead, Google it. No.10s generally don't survive well.

The cosmetic condition is excellent! The paint is really glossy and really, really well preserved (some scrapes on the left side). The decals are nearly perfect and just look how well the pinstripes have survived! All of the keytops are still present which is important because they are often missing. The paper table has a few bends and dings. The exposed metal could use a polish but it isn't necessary. Overall, this Yost shows beautifully.

Functionally, the typewriter works well enough for basic demonstrations. Carriage moves well with the escapement release lever and sporadically by keyboard so it would need a tuning. Most typebars stick. Overall, it can be made to work.
