Royal Speed King portable typewriter. Its serial number, B-797295, dates it to 1938.
Very good cosmetic condition! Glossy paint but with smudges, nickel plating needs to be polished and there is dust. Strong decals. Lovely keyboard. No rust. Basically, cosmetically, it needs to be cleaned.
The typewriter works well but with one concern. The ribbon select wanders between black and red (see last photo). Carriage advances and returns well. Nice ding at the end of each line. No sticking typebars. The current ribbon is really dry.
This Royal types 12 characters per inch (Elite).
An original, functional case is included.
