Blickensderfer No.8 typewriter produced in 1914. Serial number is 180255.
Cosmetically, this example is very good. More than anything, it needs to be cleaned and polished because it is rather dirty. Nickel plating needs polishing. The paint is strong but note the wear to the left of the spacebar.
The carriage advances and returns well. It is a little slow because of the dirt but nothing to worry about functionally. The typewheel spins, travels towards the carriage and retracts as it should. The rubber is old so paper feeds sloppily but this should be expected of a machine this vintage.
Again, this is an overall very good example!
Am original case is included. The case is poor with missing pieces and delamination throughout.
