Odell No.1 Typewriter
This is a true O'dell model No.1 typewriter. Unlike later models that were built on round bases, these true No.1's had a straight base that spanned the length of the carriage. The ends of base were accented by a pair of seal's feet. Because of its physical characteristics it's been aptly referred to as the "Seal Foot" model. The O'dell was a linear-index typewriter that was produced ca.1890 by the O'dell Type Writer company of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
