So, yes, I've a soft spot for Connecticut made typewriters, like the Blickensderfer. However, though the NocoBlick was built on a Blickensderfer No.9's platform, it was actually made in Germany and not here in the The Nutmeg State. Around 1910, Ludwig Maasen invented the first typewriter to print notes on a music sheet and this, the NocoBlick, was thus the first musicwriter.
