Linen Marking
Typewriter
This peculiar machine, which was marketed as a "linen typewriter," was invented ca.1918 by a firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was electrically powered and it's purpose was to simplify the marking process of textiles. The typewriter marked fabrics legibly and clearly without smearing at a rate of 40% faster than by hand.
