Wanted: Knoch Typewriter
The Knoch was a name variant of the Ford for German markets. It was sold by the Nähmaschinenfabrik Adolf Knoch company of Saalfeld, Germany though actually production was most likely done by the Ford Typewriter Company of New York. Personally, I find the latticework on the Knoch just a little more impressive than on the Ford.
The Hurtu was another name variant but for French markets. Though most examples of the Ford and its name variants were produced with a cast iron frame, some were cast aluminum.
(Machine à écrire Hurtu, Knoch schreibmaschine Knoch).
