This pencil sharpener was produced ca.1911 by Johann Faber and the A.W. Faber Pencil Company in Germany. Faber was a big firm that not only produced other items but also other pencil sharpeners. The specific model on this page was marked with either No.5060 or the Acme moniker. Other insignia could include Germany's patent office mark, "D.R.P." The pencil sharpener had a cast iron base, a steel body and a hand crank.
