The Fisher typewriter was named after its inventor, Harvey L. Fisher, of Woodstock, IL. It was patented in 1907 though the application was filed in 1899. It was produced by the Fisher Manufacturing Company of Chicago, IL. It features an oblique, frontstrike typebar arrangement and a standard four-row keyboard plus an additional two rows of keys for use with the attached adding mechanism.
