Here's a real mystery: after a fellow collector passed away, I bought his collection from his estate and among his ephemera was a photo from a newspaper with the word "Dresdner Protoype" written on the back. I'm not sure if it was a typo or if Dresden was intentionally written in Germany. Either way, it leads me to assume that the typewriter was produced in Dresden, Germany. The photo was obviously taken in the last quarter of the 20th century so the machine must be somewhere, but where? The typewriter itself reminds me of a cross between a Kesytone and a Commercial.
