The Draper was nothing more than a Chicago No.1 typewriter, made by the Chicago Writing Machine Company of  Chicago, Illinois, that was rebranded for Sears, Roebuck & Company. Sears sold the Draper through its mail-order catalog for $18.72 in 1906.
