Wanted: Densmore Typewriter
This particular model is often referred to as the "Ringed" Densmore because of the ringed linkage between its type levers and type basket. Also, because it was the first of 3 slightly different No.1 models from the manufacturer, it is sometimes referred to as the Densmore No.1a Typewriter. This early Ringed Densmore model was the only one with a metal nameplate in front of its type basket. It was first produced ca.1891 for the Densmore Typewriter Company of Springfield, Massachusetts by the Merritt Manufacturing Company.
