Wanted: Cooper Typewriter
This green little machine was invented by John H. Cooper of Philadelphia, PA. It was patented on May 20, 1856. Officially, according to the patent paperwork, it was called a "hand printing machine" (the term "typewriter" wasn't yet developed). You have to admit it, that green finish is stunning, even if the typewriter looks like a butter churn.
