Commercial Visible No.6 Typewriter

Wanted: Commercial Visible No.6 Typewriter

Commercial Visible typewriters were developed by Richard Uhlig, ca.1898. The two most common models were the No.5 & No.6 like the one on this page. They were produced by the Commercial Visible Typewriter Company of New York. Commercial Visible typewriters utilized a typewheel for print delivery which was actuated by a double-shift, three-row keyboard. They also featured a seductive, thin-waisted form which makes them desirable today. Commercial Visible typewriters were also available with a white or red/maroon finish as opposed to the standard black. Another known variant of the No.6 model was named the Commercial Visible A. Lastly, the Fountain Typewriter was the predecessor to the Commercial Visible.
