Cipher Typewriter

The Cipher typewriter was invented ca.1903 by Frederick Sedgwick. It would have been marketed and produced by the International Cipher Writing Machine Company at 709 Reaper Block in Chicago, IL. This machine was basically a Hammond No.2 typewriter modified for the purpose of composing coded messages and outfitted with a new enclosure.
