The Bonita Ball Bearing typewriter was offered by the Pacific Hardware & Steel Co. of San Francisco, CA. The company was located at the corner of Mission and Fremont Streets. The typewriter is really a just a name variant of the Sholes Visible. The reason behind the Bonita name is unknown but it was a brand that the company applied to other products such as its Bonita Ball Bearing sewing machine.
