Is it really a Blickensderfer? No, not really. The design belongs to Harvey A. Moyer and, even though the typewriter is labeled with the Blickensderfer name below the spacebar, it was produced in Syracuse by another typewriter company. The ball bearing technology within the Blick Bar belonged to the L.C. Smith typewriter company of Syracuse. And look at the design of the machine and the ribbon spools, doesn't it all resemble an L.C. Smith No.8? Nonetheless, there is a minuscule Connecticut history associated with the Blick Bar, and as member of the state, it's enough for me.
