The Archo music typewriter, also branded as the Archo-Noma music typewriter, was invented ca.1937 by Carl Winterling. It was produced by the Archo Schreibmaschinen Company, Winterling & Pfahl of Frankfurt, Germany.  With its thrust-action typebar arrangement, the Archo music typewriter worked similarly to the basic Archo models except that it composed musical notation.
