The hand massager seen here was invented ca.1917. I don't know by whom or where, but I want it. The apparatus was invented to "exercise the crippled fingers of wounded soldier," as would a masseur but with a "tireless patience." To me, it looks like nothing more than a series of padded clamps that, maybe, erroneously were thought to be able to straighten mangled appendages.
I'm interested in this and any other similar device. The more ludicrous, the more I'm interested.
